Alternate Care Facility An alternate care facility is engaged primarily in providing ongoing care and related services to inpatients in one location and meets all of the following criteria:
These requirements are typically met by hospice care facilities or assisted
living facilities which are either free standing or part of a life-care
community. They may also be met by some personal care and adult congregate
care facilities. They are generally NOT met by individual homes or independent
living units. |
